Q: Do I have to refinance my existing house?
A: No. However, in some cases, a refinance my be desirable. In that case, it needs to be done through a properly certified mortgage broker or banker.
Q: Will this help me with my monthly budget and reduce it?
A: No. Your budget will remain the same however the result of this program is that you will be mortgage free in a much shorter time.
Q: Is there a way to help me with the monthly budget using this program?
A: Indirectly, yes. You could do a refinance which can lessen your payments but without this program, would stretch out your mortgage term to whatever term you agree on. This would generally be undesirable done alone as refinances have fees associated with them but also re-enter you into the "front end interest loading period" of the mortgage.
